BOBSON, the jeans that continue to be loved by Japan, returns.
■History

In the 1960s, young people in America were crying out for "love, freedom, and peace."
At the center of this were artists resonating with rock music.
What they all wore were jeans, which were considered "outlaw" at the time.
Bell-bottoms, in particular, became a symbol of freedom along with the music.

The great movement, later described as "hippie culture,"
arrived in Japan without much delay.
BOBSON, which had been developing products using Okayama denim,
launched bell-bottoms in Japan in 1972.

Supported mainly by young people seeking freedom,
they came to capture a significant share of the bell-bottom market
among Japanese jeans manufacturers.

BOBSON jeans incorporated a European taste.
The piece that particularly captured that soft impression
was the unisex bell-bottoms.
Early bell-bottoms
Current bell-bottoms
The differences in rise length and leg flare between then and now
are a testament to the efforts of craftsmen who have captured the flow of the times.
Bell-bottoms made by Japanese people for Japanese people.
Perhaps that is why they have been loved for so long, regardless of gender or generation.

With techniques passed down through generations,
we aim to create pieces that fit the present age.
Seriously, carefully, one by one.
Our challenge as a Japanese jeans manufacturer continues.
